Rules:

Create an alert for disapproved ads (Google & Bing)

Google:

  • Tools > Bulk Actions > Rules

    • Create new rule > Ad Rules

      • Enter “Name” of rule

        • Example: Email Alert | Ads Ineligible

        •  

      • Change owner to the property you are working on

      •  

      • Action

        • Apple to: “Ads in selected accounts”

        • Conditions:

          • As group ad: Ad status: Enabled

          • Status Reason: {Select the following}

            • Policy

            • Limited all locations

            • Disapproved

            • No ads assembled

            • Poor ad strength

        • Actions:

          • Send email

        •  

      • Frequency

        • Daily

        • Pick a time that works best for you

        • Using data from “today”

        •  

      • Email Results:

        • Everytime the rule runs

        • Check that your email is correct

        •  

Bing:

Create an alert for keyword issues (Google & Bing)

Google:

  • Tools > Bulk Actions > Rules

    • Create new rule > Keyword Rules

    • Enter “Name” of rule

      • Example: Email Alert | Keywords Ineligible

    • Change owner to the property you are working on

    • Action

      • Apple to: “Keywords in selected accounts”

      • Conditions:

        • Keyword: Keyword status: Enabled

        • Status Reason: {Select the following}

          • Below first page bid

          • Rarely Shown (low quality score)

          • Disapproved

          • Low Search Volume

        • Action: Send Email

      • Frequency

        • Daily

        • Pick a time that works best for you

        • Using data from: Yesterday

          •  

        • Email Results:

          • Every time this rule runs

          • Make sure your email is correct

          •  

        • Save rule

Bing:

  • Start on the keyword tab

  • Select all keywords

  • Click Automate

  •  

  • Select “Notify me when”

  • Apply to:

    • “All enabled keywords in all campaigns”

  • When

    • Delivery

      • Select these under “Eligible - limited”

        • Negative keyword conflict

        • Partial negative keyword conflict

        • Low search volume

        • Low quality score

        • Below first page bid

      • Select these under “Critical issues”

        • Disapproved

        • Disapproved, exception denied

  • How often:

    • Daily

    • Select the time that works best for you

    • Using data from “Previous Day”

  • Name Rule (include your name or initials)

    • Example

      • MB Email Alert | Keywords Ineligible

    • Click save

Automate pausing/turning on all promo ads (Google & Bing)
