Employer Assignments

There are four main ways to set up a scrape in terms of Employer assignment.

  1. Scenario: All jobs in the scrape, belong to a single Employer/Facility

Solution: Create a single Employer account within the CMS. All scraped jobs, would be posted against that single Employer ID in the <sRecruiterID> field.

Considerations: All jobs will show on the job seeker site with the name of this Employer and against the Employer Profile. All jobs will be associated to this employer account, and credits will be used from this single account to post the jobs. The Employer can log into the Employer Services site, and see the jobs.

  1. Scenario: There are multiple Employers with jobs in a scrape that are completely independent of each other, however, these Employers are always consistent.

Solution: Create an Employer account within the CMS, for every employer that may have jobs at any point in the scrape. Your scrape will need to map the Employer Name found in the source site/feed to the specific Employer ID in the CMS by using the <sRecruiterID> field.

Considerations: Jobs will post against the specific employers in question and will  show the employer name. There can be more work in setting up the mapping originally. If any employer is suddenly included in the source site/feed that didn’t exist before, that job will fail to post until a new Employer account is created and mapped. Jobs will show on the job seeker site with the name of the Employer and against the specific Employer Profile. Each account will need its own set of credits for a job to go live. Reporting would need to be done on each separate employer.

  1. Scenario: There are multiple Employers with jobs in a scrape that are all related back to the aggregator or who is providing the jobs. These Employers are always consistent.

Solution: Create a master Employer account (typically called the same thing as the scrape ie. Criteo). Create an employer account within the CMS for every employer that may have jobs at any point in the scrape. Your scrape will post all jobs using the <sRecruiterID> field to the master Employer account, and will use the <sEmployerID> field to post jobs against the Employer to who the job belongs. This is called a Post on Behalf of employer.

Considerations: Jobs will post against a master employer account, but have a post on behalf of for the employer the job belongs to. There can be more work setting up the mapping originally. If any employer is suddenly included in the source site/feed that didn’t exist before, that job will post just against the master employer account until a new Employer account is created and mapped. Jobs will show on the job seeker site with the name of the individual employer to who the job belongs (the master account will never show). Jobs will be associated with the Employer Profiles for the individual employers, not the master account. Credits will be used from the master account and reporting can be pulled for all jobs using the master employer account information.

  1. Scenario: There are multiple Employers with jobs in a scrape, that are all related back to the aggregator or who is providing the jobs. These Employers can vary greatly and change often.

Solution: Create a master Employer account (typically called the same thing as the scrape ie. Criteo). Your scrape will post jobs against this account using the <sRecruiterID> field. To hide the master Employer account, your scrape will use the <AltRecruiterName> field to input any text name desired. This is a free text field, and no employer account is required.

Considerations: Jobs will post against a master employer account, but will have an alternate employer name filled out (this is a free text field and anything can be entered). There is no work to set up mapping. This means employer accounts do not need to be created if they change often. If the Alternate Employer Name is not filled out, the job will show on the job seeker site under the master Employer account. The job seeker site will always show the Alternate Employer Name, but as this is not an account, it will not be linked to any Employer Profiles. Credits will be used from the master account and reporting can be pulled for all jobs using the master employer account information.
