For Jira work items that do not have application-code changes and do not impact staging/production application behavior, consider using the No Release Impact fix version.

Examples:

  • documentation

  • imports/export or report requests

  • localhost configuration

  • integration configuration

  • Azure pipelines

  • unit tests

  • Spike tickets

 

By using the No Release Impact fix version, you inform the Release Team that the work does not need to be verified in Staging/Production.
